Five people are facing a total of 45 charges following a New Year’s Day armed robbery.
Around 5 p.m., officers were called to an apartment in the 100 block of Leif Erickson Place after receiving reports that a number of people had illegally entered a suite and threatened those inside with a firearm. The two adults and three children inside were uninjured.
The suspects were then arrested while attempting to flee in the 1300 block of 22nd Street West. They were found to be in possession of a sawed off shotgun, along with ammunition and property stolen from the apartment suite.
Three women ages 20, 23 and 34 along with two males ages 21 and 23 are facing robbery and firearms related charges.
The 20 year-old has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over and Under 5 thousand dollars after the vehicle used in the incident was found to be stolen along with the license plate.
Police are continuing to investigate.
