The Saskatchewan Jazz Festival has a new fundraiser coming up next month, raising funds so the not-for-profit organization can continue to hold the annual festival in July.
Executive Director Shannon Josdal describes The Winter Warm-Up as an evening of yoga to jazz music from Ground Yoga, and suitable for all levels of yoga.
Following that, it’s complimentary snacks and a cash wine bar at the Brick Loft on 1st Avenue North, coming up February 28th at 7 p.m.
Josdal says the Jazz Festival has a connection to yoga, because they have had Yoga in the Park during the ten-day event for quite a few years.
Because they are a non-profit, fundraising is integral, but if cash is a concern, there are other ways to help.
Josdal points out that each summer, they round up about 400 volunteers to help make the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival a reality.
This summer’s festival is July 4th to 13th and Josdal expects the artist lineup will be released in March.
