Because of the warmer than usual temperatures and the freezing drizzle over the weekend, ice continues to create challenges driving, walking, and cycling. The City of Saskatoon reports that sanders have been continuously applying salt on priority streets since Sunday and on city-maintained sidewalks. That will continue and work on more residential streets and intersections begins today (Tues).
The advice from the city is to be extra cautious. If driving, adjust to the road conditions, leave extra room in front of you and watch for the blue and yellow flashing lights on road maintenance vehicles.
