Saskatoon Police are investigating a shooting which happened just before 1 this morning (Tues) at an apartment in the 300 block of Avenue R South. Officers responded and found a 29-year-old man suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital. There is no suspect description at this point. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
A 14-year-old boy is in serious but stable condition following an assault in the 400 block of Forrester Road in the Fairhaven neighbourhood. Saskatoon Police say around 10 Monday night, there was a report of an injured person in a park at that location. Officers report the boy was found suffering what appeared to be both beating and stabbing wounds. He was transported to hospital. There are no descriptions of any suspect or suspects at this time. A 26-year-old man was transported to hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed early Saturday morning. The Saskatoon Police Service says officers responded to a stabbing outside a restaurant in the 2300 block of Preston Avenue, which is where Market Mall is. They were told a man was approached by two people who got out of a nearby vehicle and then there was a physical altercation. The victim is believed to be in stable condition. The investigation by the Serious Assault Unit continues.
