700 unionized workers at the Regina Co-Op refinery are still off the job. Picketing started December 5th, and the dispute has seen court injunctions filed, along with allegations that the union, Unifor, has been putting up blockades, and intimidating replacement workers. Semi drivers waiting to get into the facility have had to deal with vandalized vehicles. That’s all lead Co-Op to use helicopters to ferry in replacement workers and supplies. Pensions are one of the main sticking points in the dispute.
