Regina Police were dispatched to a school over the noon hour Tuesday for a report of a weapons incident involving bear spray. When officers arrived to the 3300 block of 6th Avenue, they were told a male youth came into the school and there was an altercation with another boy in a common area, which ended when the suspect sprayed bear mace at the other youth and then fled. Numerous students and faculty were nearby and were affected by the bear mace.
The school was then put into ‘Secure the Building’ mode. School Resource officers are leading the investigation and a search for the suspect continues.
