The Saskatchewan RCMP reports that last Saturday evening, just before 10, the La Ronge Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant at a home in the district as part of a stolen firearms investigation and five firearms were seized – a sawed-off shotgun, a handgun, an imitation handgun, a semi-automatic shotgun with ammunition, and a sawed-off rifle.
A male youth and 44-year-old Paul Ratt are facing six firearm-related charges including possession of a restricted firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition without a license or registration, and possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number. Ratt is also facing three counts of weapons possession contrary to an order and failing to surrender authorization and the youth is facing two counts of weapons possession contrary to an order and failing to surrender authorization. They both appeared in La Ronge Province Court on Monday.
