Deschambault Lake RCMP are investigating an early Monday morning shooting and if it is connected to an injured person being treated at a local clinic shortly after.

Officers were called to a residence after receiving a report of a possible firearm discharge around 7am. There was a broken window which appeared to have been damaged by a gunshot.

An adult man was receiving treatment at the clinic for a non-life-threatening injury that was consistent with a gunshot wound.

The preliminary investigation has determined the two incidents are likely connected.

Deschambault Lake is located about 450 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.
