That could be what voters for the weekly C-H-L Top 10 rankings might’ve been asking as the Saskatoon Blades dropped out of top spot Tuesday after four straight weeks at Number 1. Baie Comeau of the Quebec-Maritimes League is back in top spot while the Bridge City Bunch dropped to fifth spot following last Friday’s 4-1 home loss to Brandon. Four other W-H-L teams are listed in the Top 10 – Prince George in fourth while Portland, Everett and Swift Current are seventh through ninth, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Blue and Gold have only lost twice in regulation time in their last 33 games. Besides the Friday setback to Brandon, the other Blades’ loss in that time frame was by a 5-4 score in Red Deer on January 17. The Rebels are in Saskatoon Tuesday night with first face-off at 7 o’clock and CJWW’s broadcast starting at 6:45 p.m. with the Palliser Rooms E-Q-3 Cutting Edge Pre-Game Show.
