The weather getting colder in early January is a sure-fire sign to know that the annual BRIT is close at hand.
The 52nd annual Bedford Road Invitational Tournament, featuring a dozen senior boys teams from Quebec to Vancouver, starts Thursday and runs through Saturday. The teams taking part are Handsworth Secondary of North Vancouver; Raymond High School of Raymond, AB; Sir Winston Churchill of Calgary; Oak Park High School from Winnipeg; Seminaire St. Joseph of Trois Rivieres, Quebec; Dr. Martin LeBoldus from Regina; Winston Knoll Collegiate of Regina plus Saskatoon entrants St. Joseph, Holy Cross, Centennial, Walter Murray and host Bedford Road. Play begins Thursday afternoon with a girls exhibition game involving the host school then the Redhawks meeting Handsworth at 2:30 p.m.
