Saturday will be a special day in Saskatoon Blades history as Frank Banham (pictured) joins franchise royalty in the rafters of SaskTel Centre.

Banham will have his Number 39 retired – joining Wendel Clark’s 22, Bernie Federko’s 15, Bob Bourne’s 12, Brian Skrudland’s 10 and the 7 shared by Gerry Pinder and Brent Ashton – prior to the Blades hosting the Edmonton Oil Kings at 7 o’clock. Banham is the Blue and Gold’s franchise record-holder for goals (190) and points (370) scored in his Saskatoon career and also holds the Blades’ mark for goals in a season with 83, set in the 1995-96 campaign.
