Saskatoon Police say a convenience store on the 23 hundred block of 33rd Street West was held up by a man armed with a meat cleaver this morning [wed]. Patrol officers were dispatched around 1:15 and were told the suspect demanded cigarettes and cash and threatened an employee. During the incident, a glass cooler door was smashed. No one was hurt. A canine track was unable to find the suspect. He was wearing a fur hat, blue coveralls, with yellow reflectors on the front, back, and legs; black mitts and black boots. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
