Members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees from across the province are in Saskatoon this week for CUPE’s annual convention. A couple of the topics to be discussed are meaningful land acknowledgements and the union’s commitment to action for reconciliation, social media and whether it is friend or foe, and the Executive Director of the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre will speak on the increasing severity of food insecurity.
Each year, delegates gather at their convention to set the direction and determine priorities for the year ahead, elect members to leadership positions, and engage in discussions about issues facing CUPE members and the public services the union provides.
