The Saskatoon Police Service is once again offering residents an opportunity to destroy data in a secure and safe manner.
March is fraud prevention month, and the police Economic Crime Section has partnered with the Electronic Recycling Association for a free data destruction and electronics recycling event.
It takes place Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the gymnasium at Saskatoon Police Service headquarters. You can access the area from the west visitor parking lot.
The Electronics Recycling Association will collect and securely destroy old gaming consoles, stereo equipment, desktop computers and laptops, handheld devices, printers, accessories, phone systems, servers, software and routers.
There will also be secure recycling bins on site so you can safely discard your confidential paper documents.
