The Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) is jumping on board with a national campaign to help the public recognize sextortion.
The S-P-S is sharing an information graphic (pictured) that has been put together by the RCMP’s National Child Exploitation Crime Centre (NCECC) and the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (C3P). The campaign promotes several important messages, including letting victims know they are not alone, that there is help available, sextortion is not their fault and that there is life after images – the latter being the most important of the messages. The information is also accessible at cybertip.ca with a QR code featured for easy access to the website for more information and to access support.
