What might be considered one of Saskatoon’s harbingers of spring begins today at Prairieland Park. It’s the 35th annual Gardenscape with thousands of bulbs that were planted last fall in full bloom and in display gardens throughout the space.
Prairieland Park Event Manager, Susan Kuzma, says along with the sights and scents of the greenery, there are speakers’ presentations covering topics like gardening in a changing climate, navigating pests, diseases and tree decline, and perennial gardens with constant colour and blooms. There are also over 200 exhibitors who will have something for backyard and garden enthusiasts of every level. As well, there are many daily appearances by the SuperDogs and you can check out the local talent at the Gardenscapes Art Show & Sale.
After Gardenscape, all the plants will be up for sale or auction starting at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
