There are ten new recipients of the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal, announced by Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty.
Their volunteer work ranges from the creation of a Victoria Cross Wall of Honour exhibit at the Saskatchewan Legislative building to making clothes for children living developing countries to volunteering with Ronald McDonald House and raising funds for that organization.
They will be presented with their medals on April 16th at a ceremony at Government House, during National Volunteer Week.
Since its creation in 1995, the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal has been awarded to 261 people.
