A 22-year-old man accused in the partial severing of a woman’s finger has received a five-and-a-half year prison sentence.
Shannon Cote was arrested in July of 2018 after the 20-year-old victim who was assaulted in a residence on the 300-block of Avenue S South went to St. Paul’s Hospital for treatment.
A judge handed down the sentence following Cote’s conviction in Saskatoon Provincial Court.
After getting credit for just over two years while in custody, Cote has three years and three months left to serve.
