The Regina Police Service is taking a support role in a death investigation from a house fire the morning of December 31st. A man was found in the home and confirmed dead. A coroner was brought in and the man was identified and his next of kin were notified. At the time of the fire, the RPS reported the investigation would continue, though the Saskatchewan Coroners’ Service and Regina Fire and Protective Services. They continue to be the leads in the investigation, but the Police Service is now also taking a supporting role.
