It has been almost a year since 27 year old Travis Freysteinson died in the 24-hundred block of Eastview. It was February 2nd, when Saskatoon Police responded to a home about an injured man. Officers began the investigation as a supicious death, but are now saying that in consultation with the Provincial Prosecutor’s office, the death was an accident accident involving a firearm and a second man. There will be no criminal charges.
The Saskatoon Police Service cautions gun owners to practice safe gun handling when transferring a firearm from one person to another.
