Elfe Juvenile Products and Health Canada are recalling the Bily Retractable Safety Gate, due to chemical hazard. The federal agency says they don’t meet the Canadian safety requirement for expansion gates.

The surface coating on the metal tube of the gates contains barium in excess of allowable limits. Affected products were sold from June to December of last year with over 26-thousand gates sold in Canada. They were manufactured in China.
