Next Wednesday and Thursday, Saskatchewan teachers will vote on giving the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation Executive a mandate to implement sanctions beyond the current school year. The existing mandate expires June 30th.
A news release from the STF says the goal is to reach a new provincial bargaining agreement at the negotiating table without further interruptions to students and families, but after a year of strained negotiations, the STF must prepare for the possibility that an agreement might not be reached by the beginning of the next school year.
