Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority, Gene Makowsky, says there was strong interest in the first online auction for permits that concluded in December. The opening bid for each auction is $1-thousand. The specifics on the process and where to bid are below.
A community must have a population of 500 to be eligible for a retail liquor permit. Makowski says more auctions will be held over the next few months until all current expressions of interest are addressed.
