A 45-year-old woman who was brought back to life by paramedics had the chance to thank them this morning (Tues), as National Paramedic Services Week begins.
Nicole Craig went into cardiac arrest on April 15th.
Spokesperson for Medavie Health Services West, Troy Davies, says a friend began CPR on Nicole after she went into cardiac arrest and then paramedics used the defibrillator on her twice.
When she got out of the hospital, she requested an opportunity to meet with the paramedics who saved her life.
This is National Paramedic Services week and this year’s theme is ‘Help Us, Help You’.
Davies explains that a few things that loved ones of patients can do after calling 911 is to have the medications ready, the lights on and doors open and the pets away, so paramedics can help you as quickly as they can.
