PAL Aerospace conducted a flypast and “tip of the wing” at the funeral of former federal Cabinet Minister, John Crosbie in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador. A news release from the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance company says Crosby had a profound and lasting impact on PAL, playing a pivotal role in securing its first federal government offshore surveillance contract.
Many politicians past and present attended the funeral. Former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney delivered the eulogy and praised Crosbie for his loyalty and strength. He calls him one of the giants of our generation. He will be remembered as an outspoken politician with a sharp wit.
Former Prime Minister Joe Clark, another member of Mulroney’s Cabinet also attended as did Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Crosbie was 88 when he died last week.
