Early Wednesday morning around 6, Saskatoon Police responded to a report about an injured person in the 400 block of Forrester Road in Fairhaven. Fairhaven School was closed because of the police investigation. At the time, police reported that there wasn’t believed to be a threat to public safety.
Later in the afternoon, the Saskatoon Police Service reported that the 66-year-old man who was found injured had died at the hospital. His death is now being investigated as a homicide, Saskatoon’s 11th of the year.
Anyone who lives around Hull Crescent facing Fairhaven School, Forrester Road, Olmstead Road, Cooper Way and Cooper Crescent are asked to review any security cameras for signs of suspicious activity between 2 and 6 a.m. on Wednesday. As well, check yards and disposal bins for any discarded evidence which may be relevant to the investigation.
