The Prince Albert Police Service arrested a male youth in the early hours of Friday morning after responding to calls of vehicles being vandalized.
Officers responded to the 500 block of 12th Street East at about 2:35 a.m. Friday and were able to locate and arrest a 16-year-old male who was found to be in possession of a window breaking tool and a knife. In addition, police found that the male youth had an outstanding arrest warrant for breach or probation and was to abide by a court-ordered curfew. As a result, he has been charged with 11 counts of mischief under five thousand-dollars, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, obstruction and breach of probation. In addition, Prince Albert Police are encouraging residents in the 500 block of 12th Street East and surrounding area to inspect their vehicles for vandalism.
