An investigation which includes RCMP officers from the Prince Albert and Rosthern detachments, the Critical Incident Response Team, Police Dog Services and other specialized units is looking into a report about a male in an SUV with several passengers possibly pointing a gun at another vehicle. This was around 3:45 Thursday afternoon on Highway 11 near Hague. No firearm was discharged.
An RCMP news release says when the SUV was located, officers activated the emergency lights and the vehicle sped off, evading police multiple times and then it was abandoned south of Macdowall. Three people have since been arrested and the RCMP are looking for one more suspect described as a man with a medium build with acne scarring on his face.
If there is an imminent risk to public safety, the public will be notified.
