An Indigenous Mural Project in Prince Albert has been recognized at the 12TH Canada’s History Forum at Rideau Hall in Ottawa. The project was named Runner-Up in the Excellence for Community Programming category. The Prince Albert Historical Society’s mural is located in the Connaught Room of the Prince Albert Historical Museum. The mural was designed by Leah Dorian and Kevin Pee-Ace, and was painted by the public, Queen Mary School students, and Northcote Manor residents. The artwork was suggested by the Metis and First Nations Knowledge Keepers to promote Indigenous arts.
