Just before 4 a.m. Friday, Saskatoon Police noticed a truck that matched the description of a vehicle involved in multiple thefts. Officers attempted a traffic stop on College Drive, but a news release from the Police Service says the truck fled and was speeding while travelling in the opposite lanes of traffic, so the pursuit on the ground was cancelled.

The Air Support Unit then began monitoring from above, watching it drive around the city, where it eventually ended up on Highway 11 heading towards Warman. After driving down multiple range roads, the vehicle came to a stop in a field and the ASU then guided Warman RCMP and Saskatoon Police Patrol officers to its location.
Three people were arrested. A 27-year-old man is facing dangerous driving and evading police charges and was also arrested on outstanding warrants. An 18-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants and is facing charges in relation to failing to comply with court ordered conditions, and a 20-year-old woman was arrested for a warrant out of Prince Albert.
