Around 11:30 Sunday morning, Saskatoon Police were called to the 500 block of Walmer Road in the Caswell Hill neighbourhood about a man swinging a golf club and confronting the complainant. While checking the area, police say another call came in from the 100 block of 20th Street West, about a man intimidating people, also with a golf club.
When officers arrived, they witnessed the suspect in an altercation with a male. He noticed the officers and then took off, but the police caught up with him and arrested him, although with some resistance. Police say he had eighty identity documents on him that weren’t his. The 39-year-old is facing charges related to assault, assault with a weapon, assaulting a police officer and possession of identity documents of another person.
