Two men from the Saulteaux First Nation have been arrested, charged and appeared in court in relation to a search warrant executed at a residence on the Saulteaux First Nation late last week.
Forty-three-year-old Dustin Night and 38-year-old Cody Night were arrested on Friday, August 9 and appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Monday. With the assistance of the Critical Incident Response Team, the Battlefords Crime Reduction Team – Gang Task Force completed a search of the residence that resulted in the seizure of four firearms, imitation firearms, ammunition and drug trafficking evidence. Both men were charged with possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized, unsafe storage of a firearm and possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition. Dustin Night was also charged with possession of a firearm contrary to order.
