ith the picturesque River Landing as the backdrop Don Atchison announced he is throwing his hat in the ring for Mayor.
He says he has the experience with 13 years previously as Mayor of Saskatoon and nine years as a City Councillor.
Atchison says he looks forward to creating positive change suggesting wrong decisions had been made but electing him is an opportunity to change direction.
“Not one thing has gotten better, the problems have gotten worse. Elections are a referendum on what you want. This election is not just about the next four years, and it means for the next generation, but the next 40 years or longer. This is our opportunity to make our city safe, clean and affordable.”
He also says the current council has been spending money on what they want not on what is needed or residents can afford.
With Don Atchison added to the mix there are now four candidates vying for the Mayor’s chair. Current City Councillor Cynthia Block, former MLA and cabinet minister Gord Wyant as well as Cary Tarasoff are also running for Mayor
