A Regina judge has found Unifor Local 594 in contempt of a court order and is ordering them to pay a one-time fine of $100,000 plus legal costs.
The judge found the union in violation of an injunction issued last month thus they were in civil contempt.
The union is saying they will continue to hold the line and that this dispute will not be settled in the courts or by police.
Federated Co-op says the decision is reassuring as it demonstrates that our legal system works and that the rule of law will be upheld when individuals or organizations choose to subvert it. (CKRM)
