A man shot outside a home in North Battleford on August 9th has succumbed to his injuries. Battlefords RCMP responded to a report that a gunshot had been heard in the area of 108th Street around 2 in the morning on the 9th and found 37-year-old Dustin Pewean with serious injuries. He was transported to hospital and on August 18th, officers were told the North Battleford man had died.
At the time of the shooting, with help from the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Police Dog Services and a drone, the Battlefords RCMP searched for the suspect or suspects, but no one was found. Major Crimes is investigating the 37-year-old’s death. Anyone with information, or who may have seen suspicious activity around 108th Street in the early morning hours on August 9th, is asked to contact the RCMP.
