One man has serious injuries and RCMP are looking for information about a suspect following a shooting last Sunday on the Little Pine First Nation—an hour southeast of Lloydminster.
Cut Knife RCMP responded to a report of a shooting around 3:30 on the morning of August 18th. An investigation determined one man approached another man outside a residence—discharged a firearm, striking the victim. That man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The other man fled in a vehicle but not before colliding with another vehicle.
An arrest warrant has been issued for 33-year-old Bradley Kahmahkotayo of the Little Pine First Nation. He is five foot 11 inches, 240 pounds, black hair with a tattooed neck and a small tatoo under his left eye. Police believe he may be in the Little Pine or Lloydminster areas. He is facing the following charges:
– one count, aggravated assault, Section 268, Criminal Code;
– one count, uttering threats, Section 264.1(1)(a), Criminal Code;
– one count, discharge firearm with intent, Section 244(b), Criminal Code;
– one count, careless use of a firearm, Section 86(1), Criminal Code;
– one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code;
– one count, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, Section 94(1), Criminal Code;
– one count, assault with weapon, Section 267(a), Criminal Code;
– one count, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Section 320.13(1), Criminal Code; and
– one count, fail to comply with undertaking, Section 145(4)(a), Criminal Code.
