A girl under the age of 12 is dead, and a 62-year-old man is being charged following a vehicle collision on Key First Nation.
On Saturday at 2:55 p.m., Kamsack RCMP responded to a collision alongside EMS and STARS. A young girl was declared dead by EMS at the scene, and two other children, both girls under the age of 12, were transported to hospital with serious injuries. The male driver of the vehicle reported non-life-threatening injuries to police.
Investigators arrested Kenward Strongquill from Keeseekoose First Nation, the driver of the second vehicle. He was found to be impaired with a blood alcohol concentration greater than 80 mg. He is scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on August 29th.
