Around 7:30 last night (Wed) emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire on Highway 3, west of Birch Hills. Birch Hills Fire & Rescue has posted on social media that the fire was coming from the engine bay and the passenger compartment. Foam was used to extinguish it. Melfort RCMP reports that the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle wasn’t injured, and the fire isn’t believed to be suspicious.
