Three youths were arrested in Regina yesterday following an incident involving bear mace.
At 1:10 pm yesterday, the Regina Police Service received a report that two students were being chased by 2 or 3 suspects who were threatening them with bear mace.
Officers were told the suspects were in the area of Miller High School and that they may have entered the school. As a precaution, the school was put into lockdown, and several nearby schools were put into Secure the Building mode, including Balfour Collegiate, St. Augustine School, St. Faustina School and Thompson School.
Two of the arrested youths were later released without charges, but one will make his first court appearance on October 31. No one was hurt in relation to this incident.
