Black Lake RCMP responded to an ATV accident Monday on Highway 905 between Black Lake and Stony Rapids where a man who was a passenger on the ATV was taken to hospital and later declared deceased.

The family of the 31-year-old man from Black Lake has been notified.

No other injuries were reported, and the 30-year-old driver of the ATV was arrested.

Jacy Yooya is in court today charged with one count each of dangerous operation of motor vehicle causing death, criminal negligence causing death without firearm, resist/obstruct peace officer, and failure to stop after accident resulting in death.
