The municipal election for Saskatchewan’s cities, towns and villages is coming up shortly after the provincial election, on November 13th. Ahead of that, Elections Saskatoon is reminding eligible residents that you will vote for Mayor, City Councillors and Public and Separate School Board Trustees.
There are a variety of options to cast your ballot. All voters have the option to apply to vote by mail-in ballot instead of voting in person. The deadline to apply for your mail-in ballot kit is October 15th. After the 15th, the next deadline is October 22nd, to register to vote. You can also check to see if you are registered and Election Saskatoon says to remember to indicate which school division you support.
In the end though, if you don’t register ahead of time, you can still vote at your voting location or at an advance poll location. The official candidate nomination period remains open until next Wednesday, October 9th.
