The Saskatoon Police Service is updating its report about an assault on Wednesday morning in the 400 block of Fairmont Drive. Police say the suspect and the victim are believed to know each other and there is no risk to public safety.

Around 8:15 Wednesday morning, police reported to Fairmont Drive and learned there had been a verbal confrontation between multiple people and then a 30-year-old man physically assaulted a 14-year-old girl. Her injuries were non-life threatening. The man was charged with assault causing bodily harm.
