The Saskatoon Police Service say they are investigating multiple incidents involving assaults with blunt objects on Tuesday.
Just before 6:00 p.m. officers responded to a report of a man who was hit in the face with a golf club at a park in the 300 block of McMillan Avenue. Officers located the injured man in Saskatoon’s Westview neighbourhood and say he suffered a laceration to his chin. He was taken to hospital.
Just after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a report of a man who was hit with a hammer. This happened outside of a home in the 700 block of Appleby Drive. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries. In this instance police believe the victim and suspect are known to each other.
Later Tuesday night, police received a report of an injured man outside of a business in the 2400 block of 22nd Street West. It is believed the man was assaulted by four unknown individuals. Again, he was hit with a hammer and transported to hospital with serious injuries.
