The 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings have been released and the University of Saskatchewan has maintained its strong position as a research and scholarly institution. There were 2,857 universities included in the report and USask placed in the 351 to 400 tier. In 2023, the university was in the 501 to 600 tier.
Of the 33 Canadian universities included in the report, USask came in 16th spot. The University of Toronto was the top placing Canadian university in 21st spot and the lowest was the University of Lethbridge in the 1,501+ tier. The University of Regina was 28th in the Canadian list and placed in the 801 to 1,000 tier internationally. A news release from USask says the Times Higher Education rankings measure 17 different metrics dealing with teaching, research environment, research quality, industry and international outlook.
