The Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council (SWRC) wants people to look through their closets for coats that need mending—such as broken zippers, torn seams and other damage.
Volunteers from the Our Warm Hearts project will mend the coats for local groups to distribute to people in need.
SWRC volunteers have repaired 632 coats and other winterwear items since the Our Warm Hearts project was started in 2021.
Affinity Credit Union is supporting the project.
