A 27-year-old man has been arrested and faces charges following a drug investigation and executed search warrant in Saskatoon.
On October 17, at about 9:30 in the morning, investigators with the Saskatoon Police Service’s Guns and Gangs Unit, with assistance from the Crime Reduction Team and Tactical Support Unit, took the man into custody in the 100 block of Betts Avenue. He was treated for dog bite injuries and transported to S-P-S Detention where he was held for court. Following the arrest, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 100 block of Molland Lane and on a vehicle which resulted in the seizure of $26,160 of cash, about one kilogram of cocaine in a vacuum-sealed package, drug packaging materials, mixing equipment and materials, vacuum sealer and multiple cell phones (pictured). As a result, the man has been charged with being in possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance and being in possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.
