The report of an armed man in Saskatoon has led to an arrest.
Shortly before 1:00 a.m. today, police responded to the 200 block of Avenue P South for a report of a man with a firearm. When they arrived, officers were not able to locate anyone matching the man’s description.
Later on, officers in the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue U North observed a man matching the suspect’s description walking in the area.
He was arrested, and officers say a loaded sawed-off shotgun and several rounds of ammunition were found on his person.
The 20-year-old is now facing eight weapons-related offences.
