Empowering young women by connecting them with mentors from various career fields is what an event on Wednesday night is all about in Saskatoon.
It’s called CONNECTED, and the goal is to connect high school students with women mentors at a special dinner event at the Western Development Museum, bringing together over 300 students and mentors.
Participants will hear stories of career successes, personal challenges and life lessons and students will have the opportunity to share their own aspirations and speak with the women mentors.
One student will be awarded the Mary Davies Empowerment Scholarship, and several others will receive the Connected Empowerment Awards.
This event is hosted by the Saskatoon Industry Education Council, Saskatoon Public Schools, Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, Prairie Spirit School Division and the Saskatoon Tribal Council.
