The Saskatoon Police Service arrested two men after conducting a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle shortly before 6 a.m. on Saturday.
Police say the officer noticed open alcohol and when they tried to identify one of the occupants he refused to cooperate and was arrested shortly after.
During a search of his person, police located a handgun and a prohibited magazine. A further search also found approximately five grams of cocaine. Another male occupant was also searched and cocaine was located as well.
As a result, a 33-year-old man has been charged with multiple weapons- and drug-related offences in addition to resisting arrest. A 22-year-old man has been charged with possessing a controlled substance.
