The Prince Albert Police Service has arrested one man in relation to multiple assaults and arson.
Monday at 5:18 p.m. police were contact by the Prince Albert Fire Department for a report of a vehicle on fire in the 600 block of 18th Street West.

A few minutes later Prince Albert Police responded to a report of a man smashing a vehicle and trying to light something on fire in the 900 block of 14th Street West, but he fled before police arrived.
Upon further investigation, officers learned a man started to set another vehicle on fire before being confronted; then got in the vehicle and began to drive erratically before he got out of the vehicle then lit a gas can on fire and threw it at a man and woman nearby.
Paramedics attended and treated both victims that were suffering from what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. It is believed the same male was the suspect in both incidents. It is also believed the suspect and victims were known to each other.
Police dispatch managed to contact the suspect, and he said he was going to turn himself in. Officers located the suspect in the Prince Albert Police Service parking lot where he was arrested.
As a result, a 31-year-old man is facing charges relating to assault with a weapon, arson, and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.
